Police storms suspected abortion clinic, arrest doctor, others

The Zone 5 police command have arrested a medical doctor and four nurses for allegedly conducting illegal abortion at a private clinic in Benin, Edo State. The Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Imo State, Miss Chidi Opara, has been kidnapped. The reporter named, Opara was kidnapped on Wednesday at her MCC Road residence, Urata in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State. She was said to have been abducted at about 8pm as she was about entering the gate to her residence by two armed men. 9yr Old Boy, Tortured And Abandoned By Mother At A Filling Station

This is Kingsley a 9yr old boy that was on Thursday abandoned at a filling station at Adetola bus stop on Ijaiye Road, Agbado, Lagos State, by his mother. It was learnt that the mother, Blessing, allegedly tortured him for greeting a neighbour. Nigeria's Warri refinery has been shut down temporarily and operations will resume by Tuesday, a spokesman for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said on Thursday.
