Police storms suspected abortion clinic, arrest doctor, others

The Zone 5 police command have arrested a medical doctor and four nurses for allegedly conducting illegal abortion at a private clinic in Benin, Edo State.

Meek Mill grew up without a father in his life and he wants to make sure that changes for his own son. The rapper, in an editorial he wrote for, has detailed the joys of being a father and the responsibility he places on himself as a dad.

‘As a father, now I get to give my son the life I never had. Being able to give him anything he wants is one of the best feelings in the world, but it’s also scary,’ he wrote.

‘The fact that no one can teach you how to be a father means you are always learning on the job. I love my son with all my heart, and I would do anything for him. ‘It’s a crazy feeling knowing that I will help him become a great man.’

#KIDNAP!! Gunmen kidnap journalist in Owerri state, demand N5m ransom

The Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Imo State, Miss Chidi Opara, has been kidnapped.

The reporter named, Opara was kidnapped on Wednesday at her MCC Road residence, Urata in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State.

She was said to have been abducted at about 8pm as she was about entering the gate to her residence by two armed men.

Meanwhile, her abductors according to her family members, have demanded a N5m to free the journalist.

So far, the police in the state said they have yet to establish her whereabouts.

9yr Old Boy, Tortured And Abandoned By Mother At A Filling Station

This is Kingsley a 9yr old boy that was on Thursday abandoned at a filling station at Adetola bus stop on Ijaiye Road, Agbado, Lagos State, by his mother.

It was learnt that the mother, Blessing, allegedly tortured him for greeting a neighbour.

She was said to have brought the boy from Ojuelegba, where they live and dumped him at the station around 7am.

Punch Metro gathered that Blessing left the area after telling the child that she wanted to buy some items at a nearby shop.

Some Good Samaritans, however, later bought food for the kid before he was taken to the Ijaiye Police Station around 11am. Kinglsey’s body was full of scars for which he held his mother responsible.

“Mummy beat me because I greeted our neighbour. She and the neighbour are quarrelling and she warned me not to greet her. She beat me with a stick when she saw me with the woman,” Kingsley said.

NNPC spokesman Ohi Alegbe said the decision to shut down the Warri refinery was taken because there was insufficient crude oil in the system.
