Robbers attack Giwa FC

Giwa FC players were attacked on Monday on their way to Umuahia to honour a Glo Premier League Week 21 match against Abia Warriors. The robbery incident occurred at 9th Mile around Enugu about 10:35 pm. Sammy Adesoji, one of the officials of the team, said some of the players in the bus lost their mobile phones and cash to the hoodlums.

Court remands 29-year-old student for alleged murder

An Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State on Friday remanded a 29 year-old student, Abiodun Adepoju in prison custody for allegedly killing Falilu Bankole,33. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Victoria Bob-Manuel, ordered the remand of the accused pending legal advice from the state Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
