Reasons Why You Shouldn't Get Mad At Your Parents Even When Their Behaviour Is A Disgrace

You will agree with me that even the term "Home sweet Home" has now become a cliche, in this present world. As a Lifestyle Blogger, i have come to observe that most homes aren't all that warm and fuzzy, but the opposite. Children are fond of doing things the wrong way, but what about the parents?

First, let me iron-out some nasty behaviours that parents potray.

1. In some homes, parents abuse tiger authority and i don't mean cases of sexual or physical abuse, but quarrels, squabbles and the usual fracas. The husband, who is stronger, might like to display his anger on his wife by beating her whenever he feels like it.

2. Some kids have a mom who is insensitive and a dad who is an alcoholic. On the part of the mom, she never shows any love towards her children because of her own background or she was never taught how. On the other hand, the dad might show interests in the activities of the children only when he is sober -which is rare.

3. Some parents too are hot-tempered orimmoral. And when the kids try to talk to then about it, they might get a good spanking.

Now after reading the above, why the hell should you still respect your parents?

1. Even though they are less perfect, they have made sacrifices for you. Sometimes they even go hungry just so that you could eat.

2. The Bible told us to do so. In Jesus days, religious leaders were corrupt, yet he told them: "Do what they tell you to do, but do not do what they do." Don't you think we could apply that onour parents too?

3. Our parents brought us into this world, this is enough reason to still respect them. We should be glad that they didn't dump us in a garbage can as a baby.

4. Rather than dwell on their faults, focus on their good qualities.

Resenting or hating your parents because of their bad behaviour would only hurt you too. Respecting or honouring them is the only smart and wise thing to do.
