Monkey-pox is a viral disease caused by monkey-pox virus. It is mostly found in rodents, non-human primates. It was first discovered in humans in 1970 in The Democratic Republic of Congo.


How to protect yourself from monkey-pox?


By washing hands with soap and water, especially after contact with infected animals of humans. Avoid contact with animals that harbour the virus including animals that are sick or have been found dead in monkey-pox areas.
