2019 Elections: Should We Really Not Vote For A Leader Above 70years Of Age? But Is There A Choice?

Let me start with a question? Has Nigeria ever had a better leader since handover to civilian government in 1999?
2019 is fast approaching and a new regime has to be elected into power. Many people support the idea of not voting for a leader over 70years of age. The idea erupted from the present administration.
Before Buhari came into power, many prophets prophesized that he was God-sent and would rescue Nigeria from the clutches of corrupt hands. We bought it all. Now after 2years plus, we hear the same prophets telling us that an old man cannot rule Nigeria and we shouldn't vote for him again in 2019. Looks like a merry-go-round to me. Some of them even said that he is already a dead man, a peep away from the grave (no insult to Mr. President, Sir).
I laugh at them. We don't need Prophets to tell us who to vote for. We have the power and initiative to vote for whoever we want. But look at it this way, how many presidential candidates are even below 65years of age in Nigeria? None! Truth is, Nigerians have no choice. We take what we are given. The politicians run this country and do not serve us. Rather, we serve them.
If someone like Atiku (at his age) is running for 2019 presidency, what hope do the "leaders of tomorrow" have in becoming a presidential candidate? Your opinions are greatly needed here.

Taraba urged to increase resources to curb HIV/AIDS

The Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) has called on the Taraba State Government to comply with the global-based recommendations by allocating 15 percent of the state’s budget to the health sector. The Taraba State Chapter of the group also called on the state House of Assembly to prioritize the disease in their budgetary allocation for the year 2015/2016. The call was made on Tuesday during the commencement of a five-day massive awareness campaign on the disease by NEPWHAN in collaboration with the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) -SURE-P HIV/AIDS programme. National Coordinator of NEPWHAN, Edward Ogenyi, expressed dismay at the way and manner the disease has being on the increase in the state. In Taraba State, the HIV prevalence is 10,5 percent which is above the national average of 3,1. “The total number of people living with HIV/AIDS in the state is about 110 849 and those eligible for HIV treatment is 54 120,” Ogenyi noted.
