SHORT STORY: The Snake Prince: The Glitter Of Death

Once upon a time, there lived a king who had a daughter called Aminat. She was the most beautiful girl in town. Aminat was asked for her hand in marriage by so many young men, but she refused. Her expectation was for a ready-made handsome young man with riches.

One day, as she was on a visit to a friend's house, she saw a prince riding on a horse with many slaves following him and carrying his riches. The princess was so dazzled that she fell in love with him at first sight. She ran to herfather to tell him about the prince. Her father was so pleased that his daughter had finally found a husband. So the prince and princess got married. As they were riding to the prince's palace, they passed through a thick forest and the husband turned into a Python. The princess was so frightened that she fell down, collapsed and died. That snake (python) became an ancestral demon/monument still worshipped in that town till today.

The government as a whole cannot import their needs and have to dig into their reserves to try to keep every Tom, Dick, and Harr...
