UNILAG Best Grauating Student With 5.0 CGPA Receives N1.07M Monetary Award

It truly pays to be a first class student. This was Mr Daniel Ayodele Dada, the best graduating student of the University of Lagos in the 2014/15 session, who emerged with a CGPA of 5.00 on Tuesday went home with a monetary Award totaling 1.07 million Naira.
He won the Vice Chancellor's Prize of N100, 000, the Dean's Prize (Social Science) of N50, 000, and the HOD's Prize (Psychology) of N25, 000.
He also received the Tony O. Elumelu Prize of N250, 000, and University of Lagos Parents Forum Prize of N50, 000.
The University of Lagos Alumni Association Prize of N100 000, which is usually awarded to the best graduate each year was, this year, increased to N500, 000 following Dada's special achievement.
“Many companies have been requesting for my services. I won’t mention them but there are three solid offers now and I am currently on an internship with a global multinational company,” he said during his chat with newsmen after the convocation.

Alleged N108bn fraud: EFCC confiscates Governor Akpabio’s wife’s school

A school allegedly belonging to Unoma Akpabio, the wife of the immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, has been seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. It was learnt that the seizure was part of investigations into the former governor who has been accused of alleged N108bn fraud during his tenure from 2007 to 2015. One of our correspondents who visited the school, St. John Paul II School, in Shelter Afrique, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, observed that the school had been marked “under investigation by EFCC.” It was learnt that the EFCC resorted to marking the school instead of shutting it so that innocent parents and students who had paid school fees would not be adversely affected.
