Neco Cbt is finally here! Starting from 2016

NECO finally adopts Cbt for Objective Tests
Jamb introduced Cbt exams on a national scale to Nigeria and now neco has confirmed they'll be using Cbt for Cbt tests too.

The National Examinations Council (NECO) on Monday said
that it was concluding plans to migrate from the Paper-
Pencil-Test mode to the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode
for its objective examinations. The registrar of the council,
Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, told the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) in Lagos.
NAN reports that the management of the
council had, in 2015, announced plans to adopt the CBT
mode for its objective questions. According to him,
migrating into the CBT will make the examination less
cumbersome but be cost effective. “We have almost finalised
the procedure on the CBT mode for our objective
examinations.
“As soon as we have a governing board in
place, the plan will be tabled before it for discussion and
approval. How soon this is achieved, depends on the Federal
Government. “We are, equally, working toward a complete
migration to the CBT for all our examinations. “It is not easy
to conduct theoretical, practical and oral components of our
examinations. “We are, however, currently talking with some
private firms on the possibility of using CBT mode for those
other examinations,’’ Garba said. (NAN)
Thoughts on neco Cbt

See Wooden Bridge Constructed By Young Men In Adamawa State Without Government Support

This wooden bridge was constructed by young men in Adamawa without government support. The old bridge was destroyed by Boko Haram. It was a very important bridge that connects Adamawa North and Adamawa Central. Even the governor and other important people in the state use this wooden bridge when they visit their villages. Instead of rebuilding the bridge, the Adamawa state government recently announced that it will spend 200 million Naira on prayer warriors. I believe that is a misuse of public money. Nigerians are praying daily. You don't need to spend millions on prayers. The North East states have a lot of work to do in rebuilding the communities and infrastructures destroyed by Boko Haram. I don't think the governors in the region understand the magnitude of the problem. It is time for them to wake up and get their priorities right. If you know the Adamawa State governor, tell him that rebuilding this bridge is an important and urgent project.
