The Sun reports that Barcelona are in a financial battle to hold on to Messi, Neymar and Suarez. The trio's wage bill is said to make up an unsustainable 73% of the club's revenue, with Manchester United & City both ready to pounce.

Gov El-Rufai sues Union newspaper for defamation

The Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai has filed a case of defamation against the Union Newspaper based in Lagos, for publishing a false story on his declared asset with Code of Conduct Bureau. The Union newspaper had on June 1st published a story on its front page alleging that “El-Rufai declared 90 billion naira and 40 Mansions” as assets.
