INJURY OVER: Messi back to his best for Barcelona

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi was delighted to play 90 minutes on his return to the starting XI as his side thrashed Roma 6-1 in the Champions League.

The Argentine, who captained Barca with Andres Iniesta not playing, scored twice, had another goal disallowed and set up a goal for Gerard Pique on Tuesday.
Messi felt strong on his return to the line-up and urged his team-mates to maintain that level of performance after Roma were put to the sword, as the hosts secured first place in Group E with a game to spare.
“It felt good to play the 90 minutes,” he told UEFA.
“Little by little I am feeling better. I am happy with the result and to have played 90 minutes. We are happy with how things are going but there is still a long way to go.
“We will try to keep our level up. I am really happy for all the praise I get, but I just want to keep helping the team and hopefully we can reach our objectives at the end of the season.”
Messi was on hat-trick when fellow forward Neymar took – and missed – a late penalty which was converted by Adriano on the rebound.
“Neymar was the penalty taker and for that he took it today,” said Messi.
Barca striker Luis Suarez hailed the performance of Messi after both players scored twice against Roma.
“Messi is the best in the world and I am happy for him, for his goals and the fact he was able to play a full game on his return,” Suarez told UEFA.
“All players who come in have to do what is expected of them. We played a perfect game, very complete, but there were spaces in the first half.

See Wooden Bridge Constructed By Young Men In Adamawa State Without Government Support

This wooden bridge was constructed by young men in Adamawa without government support. The old bridge was destroyed by Boko Haram. It was a very important bridge that connects Adamawa North and Adamawa Central. Even the governor and other important people in the state use this wooden bridge when they visit their villages. Instead of rebuilding the bridge, the Adamawa state government recently announced that it will spend 200 million Naira on prayer warriors. I believe that is a misuse of public money. Nigerians are praying daily. You don't need to spend millions on prayers. The North East states have a lot of work to do in rebuilding the communities and infrastructures destroyed by Boko Haram. I don't think the governors in the region understand the magnitude of the problem. It is time for them to wake up and get their priorities right. If you know the Adamawa State governor, tell him that rebuilding this bridge is an important and urgent project.
