Arsenal eye Vieira as Wenger successor

Arsenal hope to tempt Patrick Vieira to leave Manchester City to be groomed as Arsene Wenger's successor. Arsenal have been encouraged by the fact Vieira is said to have turned down the top job at City's MLS partner club New York City.

The home side created a number of fine opportunities in the opening 45 minutes, yet failed to break the deadlock, while Granada did find the net before the interval, but Youssef El Arabi's effort was ruled out for offside.
