Goal & Bayern Munich announce global media partnership



The link-up with the Bundesliga champions will provide Goal with unique behind-the-scenes content to enhance our coverage of Pep Guardiola's side Goal and Bayern Munich are delighted to announce a global media partnership that will include the mutual exchange of content across all digital platforms.

The cooperation includes a particular focus on the US and Chinese markets, with Bundesliga champions Bayern providing Goal with unique access to behind-the-scenes content from inside the club.
Goal will provide Bayern's legion of supporters, and particularly in America and China, with editorial and video content across a number of media platforms to enhance the user's experience.
Executive Board Member of Internationalisation and Strategy at Bayern, Joerg Wacker, said: "The cooperation is an important step in our internationalisation strategy. Through the partnership with Goal, FC Bayern's brand will gain increased visibility in our target markets in the US and China."
Martyn Jones, Goal's Global GM, added: "We're delighted to formalise our collaboration with FC Bayern. The content exchange allows us to take our audience behind-the-scenes with the German record champions, while Goal's influence and scale in emerging soccer markets supports Bayern's global development."

Facebook launches Drone to add Internet in Remote Areas

Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) announced on July 30 that a drone they have developed called Aquila will expand internet to remote areas of the world. Their goal with the Internet.org initiative is to to boost Internet access to those living in remote places without internet access, particularly poor countries. The company will test the large solar powered drone in the near future to ensure that it works properly.
