CAF fines Nigeria $5,000 for fans misconduct against Chad


The Confederation of African Football has fined the sum of five thousand dollars for fans misconduct during the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad in Kaduna.

Goals from Odion Ighalo and Gbolahan Salami handed the Super Eagles a valuable home win and after the game, fans invaded the pitch to celebrate Nigeria’s victory.
According to a statement released on Caf website on Tuesday, the decision was one of the many actions taken during its disciplinary board meeting held on September 20.
The Super Eagles who are second in Group G of the Gabon 2017 qualifying series face Egypt in their next game.
