Jennifer Lawrence highest-paid actress, no Indian names on list

Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence has topped the Forbes list for this year's highest-paid actress in Hollywood, beating the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Melissa McCarthy, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston. The Garden Party actress earned an estimated $52 million (approx Rs 300 crore) during the past 12 months. Her earnings came from her movie roles and a lucrative deal as the face of fashion house and luxury lable Dior, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The Oscar winner featured in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1, Serena, and X-Men: Days of Future Past last year and will next be seen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2, Joy, and X-Men: Apocalypse this year. Her combined earnings came nowhere close to the estimated $80 million of Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. He topped Forbes list earlier in August of the highest paid male actors.

With Avengers' success behind her, Scarlett Johansson is second on the Forbes' list.
While Johansson and McCarthy are at the second and third position, Chinese actor Fan Bingbing features on the fourth spot with earnings at $21 million, and Aniston occupies the fifth place with approximately $16.5 million. Sandra Bullock, who topped last year's list with $51 million, is not in the top 10 names at all. She now sits at the 15th position as her earnings dropped to $8 million. She had no movie releases in 2014 and will be seen in Our Brand Is Crisis in 2015 after lending her voice to Minions.
However, none of the Bollywood female actors made it to the list. Earlier this month, The Forbes annual Celebrity 100 rankings of the world's highest-paid male actors was announced which included Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. While Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan share the 7th rank with earnings of $33.5 million (Rs 213 crore) each, Akshay Kumar with $32.5 (Rs 207 crore) million is placed at 9th.
