Comedian AY Acquires G-Wagon As Birthday Gift

Comedian and movie producer AY Makun gave himself the perfect birthday gift of a brand new G-Wagon SUV.
Ayo Makun was born on August 19, 1978 and turns exactly age 37 today.
It was learnt that the white-painted posh vehicle set back his bank account by a sum in the region of over N10 million.

AY has recently witnessed a steady run of successes at the Lagos and Abuja editions of his soar-away show tagged AY Live that was backed by premium malt brand, Maltina. In addition, he broke box-office records with his movie 30 Days Atlanta which earned over N150 million in revenues.

FG to send 700 soldiers to Liberia

Even as the dreaded Boko Haram sect keeps tormenting the North-Eastern part of the country, no fewer than 700 officers and men of the Nigerian Army would depart the country for a peacekeeping operation in Monrovia, Liberia on Monday. They were, however, warned to abide by the rules of engagement and respect the culture and tradition of the Liberian people during their stay in Liberia. The General Officer Commanding, One Mechanised Division, Nigerian Army, Kaduna, Maj-Gen. Kenneth Osuji, stated this at the graduation of troops at a pre-deployment training held at the Nigerian Army Peacekeeping Centre, Jaji, near Kaduna on Friday. Osuji was also GOC of the 1 Brigade made up of the Nigerian Battalion 36 in the United Nations Mission in Liberia. Osuji warned the troops against contracting the dreaded Ebola virus while in Liberia. Every night, Akpors would go down to the liquor store, get six bottles of beer, bring them home, and drink it while he watched TV. One night, as he finished his last beer, the doorbell rang.
