12 Boxers To Battle For N1 Million in GOtv Boxing Championship

The organisers of the GOtv Boxing Championship have announced a price money of One Million naira for the best boxer in the July edition of the GOtv Boxing Night.

The event which will be holding on July 26 at the National Stadium, Lagos, will feature 12 boxers in a 12-round national light middleweight title bout between champion Sule Olagbade and challenger Abolaji Rasheed; an eight-round light welterweight challenge between Kazeem Ariyo and Olaide Fijabi; and another eight-round lightweight contest between Nurudeen Fatai and Chibuzor Obi.


Other fights billed for the night are the cruiserweight challenge between Sunday Ajuwa and Femi Ajayi; a six-round heavyweight bout between Olympian Onoriede Ehwarieme and Adewale Masebinu; and a six-round international women’s bout between Nigeria’s Helen Johnson and Ghana’s Gifty Ankra.

“Femi is a good boxer, I’ve known him for a while but his skills won’t help him on that day. I plan to knock him out before the final round,” Ajuwa said.
