Abuja shines as MBMIN holds

All is set for the grand finale of the Most Beautiful Model In Nigeria contest and the African Designers Concert which holds on Saturday, June 13, at Sheraton Hotels and Towers Abuja. Having concluded the nationwide auditions for the contest, the organizers during the week released the pictures and names of the finalists who will slug it out on the catwalk.

The screening exercise, which started since March 8, in Ekpoma, Edo State, ended in Abuja on May 2. About seven cities were involved in the audition including Awka, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Lagos, Ekpoma and Abuja.

Celebrities who are expected to grace the occasion include, Mr Mike Omeri – Director General Of National Orientation Agency, Sports Ambassador – John Fashanu, actor Emeka Ike who will be Special Guests , Uti Nwachukwu, Denrele Edun, Kiss Daniels, Gandoki, Klint D Drunk, LK Kuddy, MC Amana, Jodie, Fredbright among others.

The contest, and African Designers Concert, is a choreographed show that reveals the world’s latest fashions and leading designers from the African continent celebrated by each contestant. It showcases and promotes Africa’s culture and Nigeria’s lifestyle to the rest of the world in an honest and fair competition.

The theme of the event, which is “Clash of Beauty and Fashion,” is a concept that will see the contestants being dressed by fashion designers on the runway, where 3 top winners are expected to emerge. The selected contestants are to resume camping on Sunday 7th in Abuja for models training and choreography rehearsals.
