Huawei to Create ICT Jobs for 2,000 Nigerian Youths

Third largest smartphone maker in the world, Huawei, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nigerian government to create ICT jobs for the country's teeming youths.

The MOU provides 2000 Information and Communication Technology, ICT trainee jobs to young Nigerians next year under the “Huawei’s Seeds for the Future program.”
The ICT training initiative aims to create a platform to nurture work-ready ICT Experts by providing authentic ICT industry-relevant education.
Speaking at the event, vice president, Yemi Osinbajo said “ICT is one of the quickest ways people can get decent jobs, so we think this is absolutely important,"
We thank Huawei for this initiative of advancing technology in Nigeria, apart from the job creation itself.”
The Chinese firm also introduced a group of Nigerian ladies it has selected to embark on an ICT training mission to China.
