Saraki donates pension to two best graduating students


Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki has donated his pension as a former Governor of Kwara State to two best graduating students of the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, for the 2014-2015 academic session.
Making the presentation of fifty thousand naira cheque each to the students under the aegis of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Pension Scholarship Scheme, Senator Saraki said the award might be an endowment for life.

He said the scheme would give priority to indigent but brilliant students who are citizens of the state, adding that his aim is to ensure that the fund is used as a form of social security to support existing state Scholarship Scheme.
The Senate President made the scheme part of his electioneering campaign as a Senator.
