There was a mild drama yesterday in the Ebonyi State government as Popular Musician Terry G, Channel O presenter Denrele, and a host of other stars that were in the State for the first Ebonyi Stars home coming were yesterday ejected from their hotel in Abakaliki where the state government had lodged them.
The State Government had at the weekend staged a show where it honored over 50 stars of Ebonyi State extraction in the entertainment industry.
Some of those honored include Cha Cha Ekeh, Grace Amah, Patoranking among others who hail from Ebonyi State.
But on Monday, some of the stars who attended the show were forcefully ejected from the Osborn La Palm hotel where they were lodged by the State Ministry of Tourism, organisers of the event.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the hotel belongs to the State Governor, Chief Dave Umahi.
The stars were seen at the government house protesting the shoddy treatment meted out to them by the state government. Some of the artist also threatened to engage the organizes of the programme in a physical combat but for the quick intervention of the security agents in the government who brought the situation under control.
The artiste stated that they entered into agreement with the government to be paid a certain amount of money as appearance fee which the state government reneged upon and expressed regret over the disgrace melted on them.
