Man becomes popular after saving family, ribs from fire

Robert Wright just wanted to have some barbecued ribs, but now he’s become an Internet sensation.

Feeling a little peckish in the early morning on Tuesday, the Fresno, CA man decided to fire up the grill. However, his plans were interrupted when a fire erupted in a neighbouring house.
Upon seeing the flames, Wright had just one thought: “Make sure them ribs is right.”’
In an animated interview with Fox KMPH, Wright brandishes a rack of ribs and describes how he managed to save his loved ones, including his snack, from the danger.
“I went over and got my family, got everyone out safely, I carried everybody out myself,” he said. “I got my kids and I thought about my ribs. I didn’t want to let my ribs burn, because I take pride in what I do.”
