Emeka Ike blames marriage crisis on Okotie

After denying claims of domestic violence, Emeka Ike’s marital crisis seems to be far from over.
The Nollywood actor’s wife of 12 years filed a divorce suit against him, blamed Chris Okotie, a popular Nigerian pastor, for contributing to his unresolved marital crisis.

On Thursday, Ike issued a statement, saying he was crying out because of Okotie’s desperation to ruin his home.
“I’ve never beaten this woman in my life. When she ran out of the house, I called my pastor and they took us for counselling and I was begging her everyday for one week,” he said.
He accused the pastor of frustrating his efforts through a lawyer and refusing to respond to attempts to contact him.
“Pastor Chris Okotie just absolved my wife into his church without making any efforts to get in touch with me,” he said.
“When I called him, he refused to pick my calls. He also failed to react to the text message I sent to him. If as a pastor, your church member is having issue with her husband and you fail to do anything to resolve it, what kind of pastor are you?”
Ike said he still loves his wife and he is interested in an amicable settlement of the matter.
He married Suzanne Rero, a German, in 2000 and the union has borne four children.
